Using a microdermabrasion treatment to exfoliate and remove the superficial layer of dry skin cells, your skin’s overall texture and quality can improve while also promoting blood flow and collagen production.
Microdermabrasion is perfect to use in conjunction with other treatments, especially when used at the first step to prepare the skin. Alone it can be used to treat acne, fine lines, pigmentation, as well as dull, dry or rough skin, and together with another treatment such as Micro-Needling, it will allow the skin to absorb the products and moisturiser more deeply.

We start with a double cleanse of the skin to remove any makeup and surface dirt. Depending on whether you have chosen an express or deluxe facial package, your microdermabrasion treatment will typically be one of the first steps in the appointment. Using a diamond tipped wand, your aesthetician will run this over your face in small strokes. You will feel some pressure from the suction as the wand works to exfoliate the skin.
The feeling afterwards is typically that of smoother and cleaner feeling skin. With the dead skin cells removed you may find your moisturisers and makeup apply better in the following days.
After Care
Your skin may be sensitive after your treatment and as such you need to treat it with care. Use a gentle cleanser to wash your skin (like Cetaphil) and if possible avoid applying makeups like foundations for 24-48 hours after treatment.
Always apply an SPF to your skin, especially in our beautiful Gold Coast climate and after having a skin treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Microdermabrasion can be done as regularly as every 4-8 weeks depending on your skin type. Check with your aesthetician how far apart they suggest you should make your rebookings when in clinic.
How long until I see results?
